Swifken House is home to the most intellectual students at Marlowe's Thaumaturgical Academy. It was founded by Sophia Swifken when the school was first established. The current head of Swifken House is Professor Charles Kotodama. Swifken's house colors are sky blue, navy, and beige. The house mascot is the wolf.

The Swifken dorms are located in the upper levels of the Great Library. Swifken students must locate the book from which the changing quote above the library entrance originates. Swifkens have been known to spend nights among mounds of books searching for a single quote. The common room itself is a large observatory-like dome that houses shelves and shelves of exclusive books only accesible to Swifkens.
